Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscaping and Commercial Mowing Crew Member to join our team. This role involves maintaining outdoor spaces through mowing, trimming, and other landscaping tasks, ensuring client properties are well-kept and visually appealing. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a crew. Additionally, responsibilities include snow and ice management during winter months, such as plowing and shoveling, to ensure safety and accessibility.
Duties
- Operate commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment to maintain lawns and landscaped areas.
- Assist with planting, edging, pruning, and general landscape maintenance to meet client specifications.
- Perform snow removal tasks including plowing driveways, walkways, and parking lots to ensure safe access during winter conditions.
- Shovel snow manually in areas where equipment cannot reach or during light snowfall.
- Manage ice control measures such as spreading salt or sand to prevent slips and falls.
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris and ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries while operating machinery or performing manual labor.
Skills
- Prior experience in landscaping or commercial mowing is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor including shoveling, lifting heavy objects, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential for timely completion of daily tasks.
- Knowledge of winter snow removal techniques including plowing and ice management is advantageous.
