What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent - Heavy Civil/Municipal position at M&M ASPHALT DBA ALL COUNTY PAVING?
Seeking seasoned commercial construction Superintendents in heavy civil, roadway, earthwork, municipal and FDOT is required. Must be able to read civil plans with great accuracy. We perform grading, excavating, paving, concrete, drainage projects for various local and state governments. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence and will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
- Interfaces with customers, architects/engineers, and contractors to provide information for cost data regarding project feasibility.
- Manages field supervision and crew scheduling to facilitate execution of on-time projects.
- Completes on-site safety audits to promote and manage company safety expectations. Meeting OSHA Safety standards.
- Handles customers concerns if required.
- Follows up on jobs completed, final project cost and invoicing.
- May be called upon by the Division Manager to perform other duties.
- Performs responsibilities included but not limited to those listed.
Requirements
Skills needed to qualify:
- 5 years of experience as an roadway construction superintendent.
- Knowledge of the local contractors and businesses is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office, HCSS, Heavy Job programs and software is strongly preferred
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR with Florida DMV for five years or more
- Minimum OSHA 30 Hour Construction Training and OSHA 10 Hour Construction (preferably)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Asphalt 1&2 (plus)
- Concrete 1&2 (plus)
- SWPPP
- MOT Advanced certified
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, FLSA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to drive to job project location(s)
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the phone
