- Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
The Accounting Intern supports the Finance & Accounting team by assisting with core accounting activities, financial reporting, and operational processes. This role is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in a corporate accounting environment while developing technical, analytical, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Support monitoring of general ledger accounts and research variances or discrepancies
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, schedules, and documentation
- Assist with invoice review and tax applicability assessments
- Support tax compliance activities including data gathering and documentation
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with daily cash postings
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
- Participate in process improvements and ad hoc projects
- Deliver clear and concise updates, including presentations, to team members and leadership
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to evaluate financial data and identify trends or discrepancies
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and completeness in all work products
- Communication: Strong verbal and presentation skills; ability to clearly convey information
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong PowerPoint capabilities
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Collaboration: Works effectively in a team environment and builds strong relationships
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a recent graduate
- Understanding of fundamental accounting principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (required)
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation development skills (required)
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Must be onsite in our Norcross, GA office 3 days/week
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or similar
- Prior internship or project experience in accounting or finance
