Mobile Technician

The Mobile Diesel Technician is responsible for providing quality diagnostics and repairs for vehicles and trailers at customer locations, with a focus on safety. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, electrical repairs, and drivetrain work on customer equipment in the field using a mobile service truck.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs on vehicles and trailers.

• Utilize a variety of materials, tools, and techniques for vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance.

• Operate diagnostic electronic tools, leveraging basic computer skills to aid in troubleshooting.

• Follow safety practices and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.

• Use power and hand tools effectively and maintain a personal tool inventory.

• Maintain accurate records and reports of diagnostics, repairs, and service work performed.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with employees, customers, and other agencies.

• Follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturer service specifications.

• Manage parts and tool inventory within the mobile service truck.

• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers, ensuring transparency and understanding.

• Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and engage in physical tasks that may involve twisting, bending, standing, and using both hands and arms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy-duty truck repair.

• Previous experience working as a mobile technician is preferred.

• Valid CDL A license is preferred.

• Experience with Mack and Volvo repair is a plus.

• Experience with Premium Tech Tool diagnostic systems is preferred.

• Must possess necessary tools to perform job responsibilities.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Additional Requirements:

• This is a full-time position.

• Must be available for rotation on after-hours service calls, including weekends.
