Are you in your 2nd or 3rd year of an electrical apprenticeship and ready to take on more responsibility? M.J. Nester is hiring an Electrical Lead Helper to support our Foremen on commercial job sites. This role is ideal for someone who’s hands-on, eager to grow, and interested in mentoring junior apprentices while continuing their own development toward licensure.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist the Foreman with planning and executing daily electrical tasks.
- Lead small crews and help train junior apprentices.
- Perform commercial electrical installations and repairs.
- Ensure work meets safety and quality standards (NEC, OSHA).
- Maintain tools, materials, and job site readiness.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–3 years of experience in commercial electrical work or apprenticeship.
- Strong work ethic and leadership potential.
- Willingness to travel (75% of the time).
- Interest in pursuing electrical licensure (we support training!).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
