Entry Level Landscape Designer

We have an immediate opening for a full-time entry level landscape designer in our growing landscape architecture and site engineering group located at our Clifton Park, NY office. We are seeking a candidate with a strong interest in creative design that is motivated to learn technical skills on the job.

Our work blends art and engineering to create functional streetscapes, plazas, campuses, and parks that invite people in and bring them back. POSITION SUMMARY:

Candidates should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and have strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills. As Landscape Designer, you will progress design concepts through design development and work with the project team to produce Construction Documents for a wide range of regional projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support in the development of graphical visualizations of data, 2-d illustrations, and 3-dimensional design models.

• Prepare visually compelling reports and publications.

• Collaborate on projects of multiple scales and types to prepare construction documents.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in landscape architecture

• Strong hand-drawn graphic and sketching skills

• An understanding of planting design

• Experience with AutoCAD

• Proficient with SketchUp

• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with landscaping and construction is a plus

• Must have valid driver’s license

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or be eligible to work without an employer sponsorship.

Pay is based on applicant’s ability/experience and will be rated accordingly. We offer a very competitive benefit package. Salary Range: $58,000 – $65,000
