What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van/Bus Monitor position at M&J Bus Inc.?
We are looking for a Van/Bus Monitor to join our team in our East Granby and Suffield locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the van and/or bus, assisting students/passengers with boarding and disembarking, and enforcing safety rules. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to remain calm in stressful situations, and be able to communicate effectively with students, school staff, dispatch office, and drivers.
- Training provided for new monitors
- Drug-free (pre-employment drug test required)
- Complete satisfactory pre-employment background check
- Must work well with children and others
- Must be punctual and reliable
Responsibilities:
- Monitor student behavior on the vehicle.
- Ensure the safety of students on the vehicle.
- Enforce school rules and regulations while on the vehicle.
- Assist students with loading and unloading the vehicle.
- Maintain order and discipline on the vehicle.
- Guide students while on the vehicle.
- Report any incidents or issues to the appropriate personnel.
Job Type: Part-Time - Guaranteed 20 hours a week (Monday-Friday)
