Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to keep outdoor spaces thriving and visually appealing
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Install and repair hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Conduct plant identification and health assessments; apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols when necessary
- Execute tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal with proper techniques and safety measures
- Maintain grounds by performing snow plowing during winter months and ensuring year-round landscape upkeep
Experience
- Proven outdoor work experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance environments
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscape equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including lawn care, gardening, and hardscape installation
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and construction equipment such as excavators
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant identification techniques
- Understanding of pesticide management protocols and safety procedures
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery or working in potentially hazardous conditions
