- Assist individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Monitor behavioral responses and implement behavior management strategies using applied behavior analysis techniques
- Support medication administration following proper medical documentation and HIPAA privacy standards IF requested by DHR
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate challenging situations effectively
- Collect data on behaviors and progress for ongoing assessment and treatment planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, medical staff, and educators, during intake assessments and ongoing care
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
- Strong understanding of crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management techniques
- Knowledge of working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, or addiction counseling is highly desirable
- Ability to monitor vital signs, administer medication safely, and understand medical terminology and documentation protocols
- Excellent communication skills for effective social work interactions, data collection, and medical record keeping
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support behavior modification strategies
- Compassionate attitude combined with the ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly while adhering to HIPAA regulations
