M.G. Oil Company is searching for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our office team in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field such as Finance or Business. Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Must have experience processing payroll.
- Familiarity with PDI Payroll System is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have great time management and organizational skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in-person, and via phone/email.
- Must be able to work on-site in Rapid City, SD.
Payroll is responsible for the following:
- Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll related matters.
- Calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholding's, and deductions.
- Preparing and issuing earnings statements.
- Issuing paychecks and managing direct deposits.
- Filing quarterly taxes.
- Assisting with year-end audits and running reports.
- Processing and sending W-2’s.
- Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
