Assistant Convenience Store Manager

Corner Pantry in Philip, SD is hiring for a FT Assistant Managers.

We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Assistant Manager to help lead the daily operations of our convenience store. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with retail leadership experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service.

Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations.
• Supervise, train, and support team members.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Oversee cash handling, register reconciliation, and daily deposits.
• Monitor inventory, receive deliveries, stock merchandise, and maintain product displays.
• Help create employee schedules and ensure adequate staffing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and age-restricted sales regulations.
• Support sales goals, merchandising initiatives, and loss prevention efforts.
• Step into the Store Manager's role when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or convenience store experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory or management experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system knowledge.
