JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Reporting Analyst
DEPT: Operations
SUPERVISOR: Business Systems Manager
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Reporting Analyst supports organizational operations by developing, maintaining, and improving business reports, dashboards, datasets, and documentation. They ensure data accuracy, aid decision-making, and work closely with the Business Systems Manager to sustain reporting needs across ERP systems via API, Power Platform applications, and SQL.
JOB DUTIES:
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.
- Translate business requests into clear reporting requirements.
- Build and modify data models, DAX measures, and visualizations.
- Perform QA and validate report accuracy prior to deployment.
- Support SQL-based data extraction, cleansing, and transformation.
- Maintain reporting documentation, SOPs, and data definitions.
- Respond to ad hoc reporting needs across departments.
- Assist with data governance, schema alignment, and KPI definitions.
- Participate in UAT cycles for systems impacting reporting and mock data schemas from testing data.
- Provide timely updates on reporting progress and blockers.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in reporting, BI or data analysis.
- Basic SQL querying skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially pivot tables.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Knowledgeable in database management, SAAS and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present complex data clearly.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in business analysis, particularly in a warehouse environment, with ERP and WMS exposure.
- Familiarity with PowerApps or Power Automate.
- Understanding of data modeling principles.
