Duties
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities via outbound calls, travel, and in-person or virtual networking.
- Use defined criteria to vet prospects before introducing them to firm partners.
- Develop and deliver tailored presentations to potential clients.
- Draft and submit professional proposals that align with client needs.
- Present updates and performance metrics during weekly internal sales meetings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
- Stay informed about industry trends, financing options, and competitor activity.
- Support marketing efforts by contributing to campaign strategy, content development, and lead generation initiatives.
- Represent M&G at industry trade shows and conventions to enhance brand visibility, build relationships, and generate new business leads.
- Schedule and manage client engagement events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong background in financial services, including finance, accounting, or wealth management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record in consultative sales and relationship-building.
- Understanding of business financing options (i.e., bank loans, private equity).
- Ability to work independently and consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong presentation, proposal writing, and negotiation skills.
- Prior experience in consulting or with a Big 4 firm is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the private equity space and the needs of portfolio companies is a plus.
- Existing book of business or client network is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of sales experience, ideally in financial services or a related industry.
- Experience working with CFOs, private equity firms, or high-growth businesses is a plus.
