Electronics Technician (PCB Troubleshooting & Soldering)
Location: Monroe, NC
Pay: $28/hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 1st Shift – Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Overtime available)
Position Overview
M Force Partners is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support circuit board troubleshooting and component-level repair. This role focuses on bench-level diagnostics and repair of printed circuit boards (PCBs), including identifying faults, replacing components, and validating repaired boards.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting electronics, performing soldering and de-soldering, and diagnosing PCB issues using diagnostic equipment.
⚠️ Important: This position includes a hands-on soldering and troubleshooting test during the interview, focused on real PCB-level work.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair printed circuit boards (PCBs) at the component level
- Perform soldering and de-soldering including through-hole and surface mount (SMD) components
- Diagnose circuit board issues using multimeters, ohmmeters, and test equipment
- Identify and replace faulty components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, and transistors
- Trace voltage paths and isolate faults including shorts, failed components, and power rail issues
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Perform rework, testing, and validation of repaired boards
- Maintain organized workstations aligned with 5S standards
Required Qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting PCBs at the component level (not just assembly)
- Strong soldering and rework skills
- Ability to diagnose electrical faults using a multimeter
- Understanding of voltage tracing, short detection, and basic component behavior
- Ability to read and follow schematics and work instructions
- 1–2 years of experience as an Electronics Technician, PCB Technician, Electronic Repair Technician, or Bench Technician
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics or related technical field
- Experience with failure analysis or advanced diagnostics
