THE OPPORTUNITY
We're seeking an Assistant Project Manager with 3-5 years of experience in residential construction to support our Project Managers in delivering exceptional luxury projects from preconstruction to closeout. This role offers excellent growth opportunities and the chance to work on some of the most prestigious residential projects in the region.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Project Support & Coordination
- Manage day-to-day project activities as an assistant to the assigned Project Manager from preconstruction to project closeout
- Assist in the creation and management of project budgets and maintain project schedules throughout the project lifecycle
- Support weekly site meetings by constructing agendas, submitting project minutes, and reporting daily/weekly construction reports with clients and internal team
Construction Documentation
- Execute job processes including Change Orders, RFIs, submittals, and pay applications
- Approve and negotiate subcontractors' pay applications with Project Manager oversight
- Manage drawing logs with a full understanding of each set of plans/blueprints and how they pertain to each specific job
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and transmittals
Material & Schedule Management
- Manage the purchase and selections of materials in coordination with designers and purchasing teams
- Update and maintain project schedules to ensure critical path adherence
- Coordinate finish material selection processes with project stakeholders
Administrative Excellence
- Process construction paperwork including RFIs, submittals, transmittals, Change Orders and meeting minutes
- Support Project Managers in client communications and project reporting
- Other duties as assigned to support project success
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in residential construction
- Proficiency in all construction paperwork including RFIs, submittals, transmittals, Change Orders and meeting minutes
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project management fundamentals
- Experience with drawing management and blueprint interpretation
Technical Skills
- Advanced Procore proficiency
- AutoCAD experience
- Photoshop skills
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Google Software experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred
