Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic/Worker located in Decatur, Alabama The role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing various metal products including ductwork, custom metal components, and related mechanical systems. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints or technical drawings, operating tools and machinery, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The candidate will collaborate with a skilled team to deliver high-quality solutions for industrial, institutional, and government projects.
Qualifications
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and installation techniques
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Skilled in operating tools and equipment such as shears, brakes, and welding equipment
- Familiarity with safety standards, compliance protocols, and quality control processes
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and position materials, and work in diverse settings such as outdoor or high-elevation environments
- Knowledge or experience with CAD and BIM technologies is an advantage
- Previous experience in government or industrial projects is preferred
