What are the responsibilities and job description for the Core Handler position at M&D Distributors Inc?
The primary responsibilities of this role are related to Core Handling. Additionally, the person selected for this position will have warehouse responsibilities assigned, as described below.
- Review credited core report
- Confirm correct part numbers for each core
- Confirm core is tagged correctly
- Place cores in assigned bin
- Pull, box, and ship cores to the appropriate M&D location
- Loading and unloading transport trucks using forklift, hydraulic lift, and dolly
- Stock receiving - Verifying parts/part numbers and proper count received
- Inventory stocking – placing parts in the proper warehouse location
- Order pulling product from warehouse for production, sales staff, and customers
- Keeping the warehouse and parts department clean and orderly
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1 year experience in automotive or diesel part or similar
- Ability to perform math (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
- Ability to exercise judgement and to work independently
- Must demonstrate consistency, accuracy, and follow-through
- Knowledge of cores related to diesel engine parts preferred
- Willingness to be trained and certified to utilize forklift equipment
- Computer literacy with the ability to learn new software programs
- Ability to move, lift, and carry objects up to 50lbs
- Ability to continuously repeat motions
