Position Summary

M&C Unico is a small family-owned business in Huntington Park, CA. Our office supports Tacos El Unico restaurants and multiple rental properties throughout Los Angeles.

Our office is currently hiring an entry-level Administrative Assistant to help support our restaurants and both commercial and residential properties. Ideally, our Administrative Assistant should be meticulous, detail-oriented, computer savvy, and organized enough to keep track of company data and make sure that all requests are handled promptly. This position reports directly to the owner of the company and will work closely with our Executive Assistant.

Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Work Location

  • On-site in Huntington Park, CA

Interview Process

  • Phone screen with recruiter (former employee at M&C Unico), onsite interview with Executive Assistant, and a final interview with the owner of the company.

Job Functions

  • Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate person
  • Greet and assist tenants, vendors, contractors, and employees
  • Receive, distribute, and process incoming mail
  • Receive rent payments and enter information into our accounting software
  • Assisting tenants with repair requests and communicating them to our maintenance person
  • Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
  • Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents
  • Maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
  • Anticipate the needs of others in order to ensure a seamless and positive experience.
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in data entry, customer service, or administrative duties
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work across several companies within the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in QuickBooks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
