Junior Project Manager

Position Overview

The Junior Project Manager supports the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across the organization. Working closely with senior project managers and cross-functional teams, this role is responsible for coordinating project activities, tracking progress, managing documentation, and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in project management.

• Assist in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities and ensure tasks are completed on time
• Track project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines using PM tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project)
• Support resource allocation and scheduling across project workstreams

• Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and status update reports
• Facilitate regular project meetings and follow up on action items
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Escalate risks and issues to the Senior Project Manager in a timely manner

• Assist in identifying, logging, and monitoring project risks and issues
• Support the development and tracking of risk mitigation plans
• Maintain the project risk register and issue log

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project charters, SOWs, and change logs
• Produce weekly status reports and project dashboards for leadership review
• Ensure all project artifacts are version-controlled and stored in the appropriate repositories

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field
• 0–2 years of experience in a project management, project coordination role, or related experience
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

• CAPM, PMP, or equivalent certification (or actively pursuing)
• Experience with project management software such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or MS Project
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum frameworks and ceremonies
• Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
