Full Job Description
Job Title: Service / Maintenance Technician
Compensation: $50,000 - $125,000 per year
Work Hours: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday and very LIMITED on-call with no weekends on-call
The Service / Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing day-to-day service calls, tune-ups and troubleshooting for new and existing clients
Reports to: Service Manager
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain, diagnose and repair all types of residential heating, cooling & IAQ products
- Maintain accurate and detailed dispatch/invoice notes of the services performed
- Responsible for delivery of excellent customer service and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Maintain professional demeanor and attitude at all times.
- Maintains, diagnoses and performs services on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as accessories, in an accurate and timely manner
- Inspects equipment and performs diagnostics on equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks
- Responsible for delivery and removal of parts and equipment needed to complete service work
- Performs day-to-day service calls, tune-ups and troubleshooting
- Promotes products and services to the customer; calls Sales and Service Coordinator with specifics on replacement product sales leads generated from customer service visit
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to multi-task
- Willingness to learn new processes and procedures as technology changes
- Willingness to invest your time in training seminars and classes for personal development
- Commit to developing "Over-The-Top" customer service skills
- Organized
- Geographical knowledge of sales area or map reading skills
- HVAC experience a plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to use positive language
- Ability to handle surprises
