Carpenter Apprentice

As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will assist journeyman and foreman carpenters in the completion of their tasks while learning the trade.

• Set up trailers
• Build decks, stairs, roofs and other temporary structures between office units, plan tables, install shelves, setup tool trailers and/or conex’s, per plan
• Hand-set forms and/or assemble the gang forms
• Assist journeyman and foreman with the shooting of grades and elevations
• The unloading, handling, stockpiling, and erecting of all pre-fabricated materials
• Concrete and rough carpentry
  • Hand set Walls
  • Footings
  • Gang Wall Forms
  • Structural Concrete Decks
  • In wall and roof blocking
  • Finish Carpentry, including doors, frames, and hardware
• All other duties as assigned

• Must be able to operate equipment such as: table saw, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging and form systems
• Strong teamwork orientation
• Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
• Detail orientation

Education

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred
• Enrolled in apprenticeship program
• Previous experience on a construction site is preferred but not required
