What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Associate-Fashion Accessories position at M.A.G.N.Y. Co?
Established and dynamic fashion accessories company is looking for a production associate to join our growing team.
Day to day work is very fast paced with lots of essential responsibilities. We need someone who is VERY organized, detail oriented and willing to learn and adapt to a new environment quickly. Person MUST be able to multitask exceptionally.
You will be assisting in the production cycle for multiple accounts on a daily basis, getting involved in all steps of the production management process, ensuring everything is running smoothly, and problem solving to reduce as many errors and delays as possible. You will learn about all aspects that apply to pre-production and production cycle.
Responsibilities include:
A. Purchase order creation and entry, purchase order calendar maintenance and delivery coordination
B. PP/TOP sample requests and sample calendar maintenance, communication with vendors, chasing for lab dips, samples and bulk.
C. PP/TOP sample checking and preparation, receiving and sending sample approvals in timely manner.
D. Working with design on product development/modifications
E. Product testing management, trim ordering, tracking, and maintenance, issuing and checking SKU, UPC, and barcodes stickers
F. Data entry and maintenance in WIP charts, Updating WIP reports as changes occur
G. Dispatching packages, ensuring all packages are opened, unpacked and distributed immediately, allocating samples to sales/design/production accordingly
H. Organizing and keeping track of samples, bulk cuttings/approvals, and materials library
I. Contribute to our production team meetings, share feedback, and new ideas for improvement.
J. Prepare and send out samples for sales and production as needed.
K. Enter new style info into ERP system-- recording product info into the system
An ideal candidate…
- Has 1 yr of production experience with apparel company.
- Has degree in fashion production or a related field.
- Has a general understanding of the development and production procedures.
- Is Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, ERP software knowledge preferred.
- Thrives when she/he is working on multiple projects with quick deadlines.
- Is equipped with excellent communication skills and works well with others. Takes direction well.
- Has tons of creative and positive energy to contribute to a small team with large ambitions.
- Is proactive and exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
