Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Advisor with a deep understanding of business ownership, operations, or corporate management to join our rapidly growing team in the Houston area. As a business advisor and dealmaker, you’ll play a key role in helping business owners achieve successful exits and guiding buyers toward smart acquisitions.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone entrepreneurial, self-driven, and experienced in business – whether through owning a business, working in a corporate leadership role, or already having brokerage experience.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and list small-to-mid-sized businesses for sale
- Build and maintain relationships with business owners and buyers
- Conduct valuations, prepare marketing materials, and negotiate deals
- Collaborate with attorneys, CPAs, and real estate professionals during transactions
- Manage deals from listing to closing with minimal supervision
Requirements
- Houston Resident: Must live in the Greater Houston area
- Experience Required (one or more of the following):
- Prior business ownership
- Corporate management or leadership role
- Previous experience as a business broker or M&A advisor
- Real Estate License: Licensed in Texas (or willing to obtain one soon)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, professional, and confident in dealing with high-net-worth individuals
Compensation:
We do not expect Business Advisors to make income in first 6 months and they should have plan to survive but expect an average advisor to make between $120,000 to $200,000 in the second year.This is a 1099 commission-only position with no income ceiling. You will earn generous splits on successful transactions, with the flexibility to work at your own pace.
