What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at Lyzr AI?
About Lyzr
Lyzr is a sovereign full-stack agent platform for enterprises that want to own their intelligence. Our agents run inside the customer's perimeter, on their cloud, in their data center, or on our Optimus on-prem appliances, with no data leaving the boundary.
That architecture is why regulated and mission-critical organizations choose us, and it is why our government footprint is growing. We work with federal customers and their innovation partners on deployments where sovereignty, auditability, and control are not optional features.
The Role
We are hiring a Program Manager to own the delivery of Lyzr's government programs end-to-end. You will be the single accountable person between the government customer and our engineering, delivery, and security teams, from award through deployment through renewal.
This is not a coordination role. You will own scope, schedule, compliance posture, and customer outcomes on programs that involve on-prem and air-gapped deployments, classified or controlled data environments, and multi-stakeholder federal reviews.
What You Will Own
- End to end delivery of federal and public sector programs, including milestone plans, deliverable schedules, risk registers, and status reporting to both the customer and Lyzr leadership
- The government customer relationship at the program level, including contracting officers, COTRs, technical leads, and sponsor organizations
- Coordination of on-prem and air-gapped deployments of the Lyzr platform, working with our infrastructure and Optimus appliance teams
- Compliance and security workstreams, including FedRAMP, NIST 800 53, CMMC, ATO packages, and security documentation, in partnership with our security team
- Contract administration support: SOW and task order management, deliverable acceptance, invoicing milestones, mod requests, and subcontractor coordination
- Capture support for new opportunities, including RFI and RFP responses, past performance narratives, pricing inputs, and teaming arrangements
- Internal escalation and unblocking, translating government requirements into engineering language and engineering constraints into government language
What We Are Looking For
Required
• US Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• 6 or more years of program or project management experience
• Direct experience with the federal acquisition lifecycle: FAR basics, task orders, CLINs, deliverable acceptance, and working with contracting officers
• Track record delivering technical software or infrastructure programs on schedule in constrained environments
• Working knowledge of federal security and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST 800 53, FISMA, or CMMC, and what an ATO process actually requires
• Clear written communication. You will write status reports, program plans, and customer facing documents that senior government stakeholders read
• Comfort operating in a fast moving startup where the process you need may not exist yet, and you will build it
Strongly Preferred
• Experience with AI, data platform, or cloud infrastructure deployments in government settings
• Familiarity with on-prem, edge, or air-gapped delivery models
• Prior work with defense, intelligence community, or federal civilian agencies, or with government innovation vehicles such as IQT, DIU, SBIR, or OTAs
• Active or recently active clearance
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
Logistics
• Based in Jersey City, NJ. Expect travel to customer sites in the DC metro area
• Benefits: health, dental, vision, 401k
