The mission
Own the end-to-end email program and be the single thread of ownership across Sales and Marketing—while serving as the primary owner and ongoing trainer of Lyzr’s AI-SDR. You’ll set standards, write the copy, run the infra, and continuously improve human AI performance.
- Central owner of all campaigns: Partner with sales leaders; route all outbound and lifecycle emails through a centralized calendar, workflow, and QA you manage.
- World-class copywriting:
- 50–100-word cold emails with crisp subject lines and clear CTAs.
- 200–400 word case-study/technical emails that inform and convert.
- Maintain voice/tone guidelines and a reusable template library.
- Subject lines & testing: A/B test subject, preview, sender, CTA, and send-time; publish weekly learnings.
- Deliverability & infra: Domains/subdomains strategy, SPF/DKIM/DMARC (to enforcement), BIMI, warm-ups, list hygiene, blocklist monitoring, and feedback loops (Google Postmaster, SNDS).
- Platform ops: Operate ESP/MA tools (HubSpot/Marketo/Pardot/Customer.io/SFMC), integrate with CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot), build segments/automations, enforce UTMs, and stand up dashboards.
- AI used wisely: Use ChatGPT/LLMs for ideation and drafts; you are the human editor ensuring accuracy, nuance, and brand voice.
- AI-SDR ownership (primary trainer):
- Design and maintain prompts, guardrails, and conversation flows; define intent taxonomy, tone, and escalation rules.
- Curate/update the knowledge base (FAQs, objection handling, product releases, compliance).
- Build an offline evaluation set and a weekly regression test; run live A/Bs; tune for reply quality and meeting creation.
- Establish human-in-the-loop review for high-stakes threads; define handoff criteria to AEs/SDRs.
- Track and improve AI-SDR KPIs; ship a monthly “AI-SDR Quality Report” to Sales leadership.
- Compliance: Enforce CAN-SPAM/GDPR/CCPA, consent capture, unsubscribe controls, and data handling standards.
- Enablement: Train SDRs/AEs on template usage, AI-SDR handoffs, and hygiene; maintain a scalable playbook.
- 6–10 years in B2B email marketing with hands-on copywriting (portfolio with cold technical/case-study samples).
- Proven uplift in reply → meeting → pipeline for enterprise/B2B motions.
- Deep deliverability experience (subdomains, warm-ups, seed testing, DMARC reporting).
- Tool fluency: major ESP/MA platforms; Salesforce/HubSpot; BI (Looker/Tableau/GA4). SQL basics a plus.
- LLM/agent exposure: prompt design, evaluation sets, conversation QA, and basic understanding of RAG/knowledge bases.
- Cross-functional operator comfortable owning a central process with Sales, RevOps, and Marketing.
- Owner mentality: can write, ship, and measure without heavy support.
- HTML/CSS for email, AMP for Email familiarity.
- Experience with AI/agentic workflows, tools like LangSmith/Humanloop, or RAG stacks.
- Background in AI/SaaS or technical products.
