What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Electrician position at Lywood Electric, Inc.?
Electricians receive service requests, typically 2-4 each day and are dispatched in a fully stocked vehicle to complete residential, commercial, or industrial repairs and service work on the first call.
Duties and Responsibilities
Service Electricians work independently or with a team to perform work adding new circuits and troubleshooting and resolving electrical problems. The successful candidate will:
- Ensure that installations meet quality standards and are code compliant.
- Provide a high quality of customer service.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and manager.
- Accurately complete all daily paperwork.
- Keep up with service truck cleanliness.
- Accurately estimate and pick up supplies at supply house for scheduled jobs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Current Journeyperson certification required.
- Valid State Issued Driver’s License.
- Current CPR Certification Card preferred.
- Skilled in the use and care of all hand and shop tools and equipment of the electrical trade.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Completion of OSHA 10-hour training preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds at a time.
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions and high noise levels.
- Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
- Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete job.
Education & Experience required
- Completion of accredited Electrical Technology certificate program required.
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- 5 years of electrical experience required.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
