Job Summary
The Electrical Drafter at Lywood Automation is a precise and detail-focused professional responsible for producing technical drawings, schematics and submittals that support the design, installation, and integration of automation and control systems. The Electrical Drafter works closely with engineers and project managers to develop drawings that serve as the foundation for successful project execution.

- PREFERRED: Associate’s degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field. 2 years of Auto CAD electrical experience or in equivalent software.
- REQUIRED: 2 years of experience in automation, electrical, or control systems.

- Working knowledge of drafting, preferably in automation, electrical, or control systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, E PLAN, or similar CAD software.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, panel layouts, and control system drawings.

Duties & Tasks
- Create detailed technical drawings and schematics for automation and control systems using CAD and other design tools.
- Collaborate with engineers, the Drafting team, Manufacturers,
and project managers to ensure designs align with project requirements, specifications, and site conditions.
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect client feedback, field changes, or updated project scopes.
- Ensure all drawings comply with applicable industry standards, regulations, and internal quality guidelines.
- Organize and maintain an accurate and complete library of all drafting documents, drawings, and design files.
- Prepare and compile submittal packages for client review, ensuring all required documents are included and meet project specifications.
- Review submittal documentation for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project timelines.
- Coordinate with the programming, engineering, and field teams to clarify drawing requirements and support project execution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards and workflows within the department.
- Support the project closeout process by submitting final as-drawn and as-built drawings and updated documentation as required.
