Sr. Material Planner
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Material Planner to join our Graphene and Battery Operations team. The successful candidate will need to have a good understanding of supply chain functions and know how to interact with cross functional teams to properly manage supply plans. The role will be responsible for performing material planning activities by identifying materials required per BOM and engineering and managing order quantities and the ordering cycle to maintain the communicated production schedule.
Responsibilities
The expected base salary range for this position is between
$106,000.00 - $159,000.00
The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

Sr. Material Planner
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Material Planner to join our Graphene and Battery Operations team. The successful candidate will need to have a good understanding of supply chain functions and know how to interact with cross functional teams to properly manage supply plans. The role will be responsible for performing material planning activities by identifying materials required per BOM and engineering and managing order quantities and the ordering cycle to maintain the communicated production schedule.
Responsibilities
- Create and deploy supply requirements to the supply base via MRP.
- Ensure demand from all sources (production, engineering, etc.) is supported appropriately.
- Manage planning system parameters and ERP master data to optimally reflect supply chain capabilities and plan supply.
- Maintain supply chain agility with managing shortages and expedites as they arise.
- Apply analytics and supply chain expertise to manage system parameters and meet target inventory and service level goals while minimizing costs and obsolescence.
- Build and maintain operational partnerships with assigned suppliers. Act as the primary interface with suppliers on delivery status, issues, and resolution. Escalate to commercial or technical partners when required (sourcing and procurement, accounts payable, quality, engineering, etc.)
- Deliver clear-to-build status, material coverage, run-out reports, and other analyses as needed.
- Provide data-driven decision support to the broader organization through what-if and scenario planning (as examples)
- Support equipment spare part orders and replenishment.
- Develop procedures and train new team members if applicable.
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience PLUS 5 years of related experience in materials management, production planning, scheduling, material planning, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment OR a Masters degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or other related field or equivalent experience PLUS 3 years of related experience in materials management, production planning, scheduling, material planning, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including ability to maintain and enhance Excel-based material shortage reports.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including ability to optimize delivery costs and inventory levels are desired.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand.
- Ability to present material status effectively in weekly program/executive meetings
- Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude. Self-motivation and resourcefulness
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or equivalent
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, enterprise system inventory management system such as MES is a plus
- Must be able to travel between facilities and lift up to 70 pounds
