Position Description:

As a senior leader in Lyte Fiber’s Network Development & Planning organization, you will drive strategic fiber market expansion by integrating network architecture, financial modeling, and business case justification. You will oversee OSP planning activities and develop data-driven strategies to accelerate growth in new residential, SMB, and MDU segments. You will lead a team focused on optimizing Total Addressable Market (TAM) opportunities, improving capital efficiency, and enabling operational readiness across design, construction, and backhaul planning.

You will collaborate closely with the Growth Committee and cross-functional organizations to shepherd new market ideas from concept into executable projects while ensuring that network investment aligns with corporate revenue, cost, and long-term technology transformation objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Market Development o Lead business case development to support capital approvals, ensuring optimal market selection and revenue impact.
  • Evaluate new market opportunities through TAM analysis, competitive mapping, public funding opportunities, adoption forecasts, and cost-to-build modeling. oLead development of business cases for new fiber builds, Greenfields, edge-outs, MDUs, SMB/Enterprise-class opportunities, and revenue-generating expansion scenarios.
  • Maintain and present the pipeline portfolio, taking concepts through validation, financial review, and green-light recommendation phases. oServe as a strategic input resource for Investment/Growth Committees with presentation-ready proposals and roadmap recommendations.
  • Network & OSP Planning o Conduct economic and technical market assessments to define buildvslease decisions for OSP, including backhaul/middlemile strategies.
  • Drive long-range network planning with an emphasis on capital efficiency, future scalability, and technology evolution (XGS-PON, Next Generation PON, etc.). oPartner closely with OSP Design/Engineering to ensure hand-off from concept engineering
  • construction is frictionless, and budget aligned.
  • Financial & Economic Decisioning
  • Build and maintain costtoserve and ROI models supporting capital allocation decisions, including BEAD/Grant opportunity justification when applicable.
  • Monitor ongoing market performance and adjust strategy based on takerate velocity, unit economics, and competitive landscape.
  • Track key performance metrics, prepare executivelevel dashboards, and recommend improvements based on data trends.
  • Vendor & Backhaul Relationships
  • Maintain strategic relationships with backhaul/transport providers and evaluate new partners for footprint expansion.
  • Support pricing review and SLA negotiation.
  • CrossFunctional Collaboration
  • Partner with PMO to ensure execution alignment on schedule, budget, quality, and business objectives.
  • Influence multidepartment planning, including product, finance, construction, and NOC, to ensure roadmap continuity.
  • Represent Lyte Fiber at industry events to identify new partnerships and track emerging market and technology developments
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Deliver ongoing insights to executive leadership covering key growth KPIs, competitor intelligence, and model updates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10 years of experience in telecom, broadband, or networkfocused roles
  • Track record in fiber network planning, capital allocation, or largescale deployment strategy
  • Strong experience with financial business case development & ROI modeling
  • Excellent communicator capable of presenting to executives & crossfunctional groups
  • Proven leadership experience managing highimpact initiatives or teams
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as bending, standing, climbing and walking in construction areas
  • Must be able to lift to 30 pounds at times
  • Will require travel up to 35% of work time
