ABOUT THE ROLE:

• DEPARTMENT: 2nd Shift Warehouse Operations 
• POSITION:  Order Selector 
• LOCATION:  Port Allen, Louisiana 
• COMMITMENT:  Full-Time (4-Day work week): Monday – Thursday 11:30am – until
• COMPENSATION:  Hourly: Production Pay (ranges $10-$22 based on performance)
• PAY SCHEDULE:  Bi-Weekly (direct deposit)

SUMMARY SNAPSHOT: Order Selectors are responsible for accurately locating, selecting items from multi-level racks and properly packing products into totes in a multi-temperature warehouse to ensure customer orders are fulfilled for next day deliveries. This role is physically demanding and requires a capable ability to excel under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while meeting required quotas, performance levels and quality standards to maintain an efficient operations process flow successfully.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Read customer orders accurately and demonstrate awareness of any unusual item quantities.
• Pull products consistently and accurately by reading case labels and barcodes while using required handheld / scanning technology to properly identify all items. 
• Execute the appropriate packing of products and correct labeling of shipping totes according to company procedures and guidelines.  
• Ensure product integrity by examining and inspecting stock items for wear, damage, and defects before placing products in shipment containers.
• Report any damage and/or issues immediately to the supervisor. Completes the necessary damage inventory report for any defective products found while picking. 
• Perform at a level of 95% or above to meet productivity according to company production standards in an often-hot warehouse. 
• Complete clean-up duties when picking is complete to maintain an orderly warehouse and safe working environment. 
• Maintain a timely and strong attendance history according to the required shift schedule.   
• Operate equipment in compliance with company policies and best practices to adhere to safety standards and regulations. 
• Function as a team member and performs any/all warehouse operations duties as needed, asked and assigned by trainers, leads and supervisors.

Requirements

ABOUT YOU: 

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Must be 18 years or older. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol screen. 
• At least 1 years of production order selecting experience preferred. 
• Ability to learn and/or experienced using a scanner, handheld and computer technology. 
• PHYICAL STAMINA: Able to stand, walk and move for extended periods of time (typically shifts are 10 hours) in an often-warm warehouse environment. 
• DEPENDABLE: Must have reliable transportation and report to work on time with a good attendance history. Abide and follow attendance policy. 
• FLEXIBLE: Must be willing to work in all areas of the warehouse, as assigned. Must be available and able to work open-ended shifts and occasionally varying weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
