What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Planning & Procurement Manager position at Lyons Seafoods Ltd?
We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join Lyons as our Supply Planning & Procurement Manager, a key role within our Business Operations team based in Warminster.
This role sits at the heart of our supply chain, ensuring the right materials are available to support our operations and customer commitments. You’ll lead supply planning and procurement activity end-to-end, working closely with colleagues across Commercial, Operations, NPD and Finance, while building strong, effective relationships with suppliers.
You’ll play a key role in balancing service, cost and efficiency in a fast-paced and evolving environment. This role would suit an experienced supply chain or procurement professional who enjoys working collaboratively and influencing across the business.
What you’ll do
- Lead supply planning activities, aligning demand forecasts with production requirements
- Ensure availability of raw materials while optimising stock levels and minimising waste
- Build and manage supplier relationships to drive performance and reliability
- Lead supplier reviews, including performance, quality and contracts
- Partner cross-functionally to support operational delivery and product launches
- Provide insight into supply risks, opportunities and cost drivers
- Track key metrics such as OTIF, inventory and supplier performance
- Drive continuous improvement through data-led decision making
What we’re looking for
- Experience in supply chain, procurement or planning leadership roles
- Strong supply planning and procurement expertise in a complex environment
- Excellent analytical and commercial skills
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Good systems capability (e.g. SAP, planning tools, Excel)
- Experience managing supplier relationships, ideally internationally
- A proactive, adaptable team player with a professional approach
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
