Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join Lyons Electric, a subsidiary company of Potawatomi Ventures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and reviewing electrical systems and schematics for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical design drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.
- Create and update schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and circuit designs.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to define project requirements and timelines.
- Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and other electrical engineering tasks.
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEC, and other applicable codes and standards.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, structural, architectural) to ensure integrated design.
- Support construction and installation teams with technical documentation and field support.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback and site conditions.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Design, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with lighting design, power distribution, and low-voltage systems.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and 3D modeling.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable design practices.
