Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Superintendent role based in Calabasas, CA. The Superintendent oversees day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects are executed according to plans, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors and vendors, scheduling and monitoring work progress, and resolving on-site issues to keep projects on time and within budget. The role involves conducting regular site inspections, maintaining detailed project documentation, and communicating effectively with project managers, clients, and the internal team. The Superintendent also supports implementation of sustainable building practices and the firm’s project management technology to maintain transparency and efficiency on the job site.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience supervising construction projects as a Superintendent or similar site leadership role, preferably in residential or boutique development.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality control practices.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Proficiency with construction management software and digital tools for scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple trades on site.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams.
- Commitment to safe work practices and experience implementing job site safety programs.
- Experience with sustainable building practices and an interest in innovative, lifestyle-focused development is highly beneficial.
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on site daily in Calabasas, CA.
