We are seeking dynamic and experienced Maintenance & Engineering Managers to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical in leading both day-to-day and developing/executing site strategy for Maintenance and Engineering functions in both reliability and production. This role is responsible for executing work in a safe, reliable, cost efficient, and environmentally responsible manner to achieve safety, production, quality, and budget goals, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and people-first leadership.

A Day in the Life
Lead maintenance team; set clear targets and coach through Gemba and structured feedback
Deliver GoalZERO performance through strong leadership, employee/contractor involvement and management systems
Provide strategic leadership to the engineering team by establishing clear, measurable objectives and fostering engineering discipline through field engagement and structured, performance-focused feedback
Implement and adherence to corporate standards and assess gaps and opportunities
Own and implement a Lean daily management system (tier meetings, short-interval control, problem escalation).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives: 5S, TPM elements, A3 problem solving, kaizen events, root cause analysis and standard work
Partner with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to remove constraints and improve workflow
Provide overall guidance for long range programs defining strategic direction for mechanical integrity, inspections, and site development
Enhance and administer a consistent system of measurement geared towards improving the effectiveness of reliability and proactive initiatives
Translate reliability and availability performance into financial outcomes (understand standard cost, absorption, variance drivers)
Ensure Code of Conduct and all other LyondellBasell policies are consistently followed and administered
Recruit, onboard, and develop talent; ensure succession for critical roles.
You Bring This Value
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field required, or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
Prior people leadership experience preferred
Experience in polymer compounding is not required; adjacent manufacturing experience is acceptable
Lean Manufacturing skills and continuous improvement experience are a plus
In depth experience with SAP or similar CMMS
