Position Overview
As a Construction Restoration Technician, you'll be on the front lines responding to property damage emergencies. You'll perform mitigation, demolition, and cleanup services while delivering an exceptional customer experience during stressful situations.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, reliable, and takes pride in doing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency service calls (water, fire, mold, storm damage)
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, and equipment setup (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers)
- Execute controlled demolition of affected materials (drywall, flooring, insulation, etc.)
- Perform detailed cleaning, including HEPA vacuuming and antimicrobial application
- Set up containment and follow proper safety protocols
- Monitor drying progress and document readings (moisture meters, hygrometers, etc.)
- Take clear job-site photos and notes using company software (e.g., Encircle)
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and company vehicles
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, and team members
- Follow IICRC standards and company SOPs at all times
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, demo, PPE use)
- Comfortable working in emergencies and fast-paced environments
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Team player who communicates well
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation (after-hours/weekends)
- IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT)
- Prior experience in restoration, construction, or a related trade
- Experience with moisture mapping and drying documentation
- Familiarity with safety protocols (PPE, containment, hazardous materials awareness)
