Position Overview

Lynx Dayton is seeking a professional and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide safe, compassionate, and timely care and transportation for patients. The ideal candidate is reliable, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate basic emergency medical care within the EMT scope of practice.
• Safely assess and monitor patients during transport.
• Assist with patient movement, loading, and unloading as needed.
• Respond professionally and efficiently to emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate patient care and transportation documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare facilities, and medical personnel.
• Maintain assigned equipment and ensure the ambulance/transport vehicle is clean and properly stocked.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, company policies, and medical protocols.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Current CPR/BLS certification as required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Ability to safely assist with patient lifting and movement.
• Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to patient care.
• Previous EMS or patient-transport experience preferred.
