Position Overview
Lynx Columbus is seeking a professional, compassionate, and dependable Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide safe, timely, and high-quality patient care and transportation. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate basic emergency medical care within the EMT scope of practice.
- Assess and monitor patients throughout transportation.
- Assist with patient movement, lifting, loading, and unloading as needed.
- Respond professionally and efficiently to emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate patient care reports and transportation documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare facilities, and medical personnel.
- Ensure assigned equipment is maintained, clean, and properly stocked.
- Follow applicable safety procedures, company policies, and medical protocols.
- Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Current EMT certification required.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Current CPR/BLS certification, as required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Ability to safely assist with patient lifting and movement.
- Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to patient care.
- Previous EMS or patient transportation experience preferred.
