Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an EMS Dispatcher based in Cincinnati, OH. The EMS Dispatcher will be responsible for managing and coordinating ambulance and vehicle dispatch services effectively. Primary duties include receiving and prioritizing incoming calls and requests for service, assigning resources, monitoring vehicle movements, maintaining accurate records, and utilizing dispatch software and radio equipment to coordinate efficient responses. The role also involves effective communication with field personnel and stakeholders to streamline patient transport operations.
Qualifications
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills, active listening, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving capabilities
- Familiarity with dispatch software, radio equipment, basic computer skills, and data entry experience
- Knowledge of geographic areas for the areas we serve is highly desirable
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment
- Previous dispatching experience, ideally in EMS, public service or healthcare, is an advantage
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certifications in emergency medical services or public safety communication is a plus
