What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at Lynol Cooling Systems Inc?
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance Team in Commerce, CA. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Process and post customer invoices, payments, and credit memos accurately in system
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with customers regarding outstanding or overdue balances
- Communicate directly with customers to confirm payment schedules, resolve billing discrepancies, and perform courteous collection follow-ups
- Coordinate with the Sales and Customer Service teams regarding payment issues or credit holds
- Apply incoming payments (ACH, check, wire, or credit card) and ensure proper account allocation
- Reconcile AR ledger and prepare weekly/monthly statements and reports
- Support month-end closing, financial reporting, and internal audits
- Maintain organized and up-to-date AR records and customer documentation
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounting operations
- Experience in customer communication and payment collection
- Excellent communication skills (English required; Spanish is a plus)
