Our team at LWE seeks 2nd year through 4th year Apprentice Electrician to learn under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician. We offer competitive wages, long-term employment with growth opportunities in addition to company provided benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Depending upon assignment, duties may include but are not limited to the following:
· Assist a Journeyman Electrician and follow instructions
· Prepare and clean work areas
· Carry and deliver materials
· Install, maintain, and repair various electrical systems and equipment
· Follow safety codes and building regulations
· Communicates effectively orally, in writing, and electronically
· Read and work from blueprints, technical manuals, charts, and schematics
· Maintain accurate records and reports on completed assignments
· Performs any other related duties as assigned
· Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships
Requirements and Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED certificate
· Valid Driver’s License
· Valid Utah Apprentice License
· Minimum of two years experience
· Completion of or enrollment in electrical training program
· Able to diagnose problems using electronic test equipment (3rd and 4th Year Apprentices)
· Eagerness to learn electrical schematics and blueprints
· Completion of 10-hour OSHA training upon hire.
· Demonstrate knowledge of methods, materials, tools, safety practices and equipment in the electrical trade (3rd and 4th Year Apprentices)
· Strong troubleshooting abilities (3rd and 4th Year Apprentices)
· Good time management and strong work ethic
· Problem solving and critical thinking
Working Conditions:
· Indoor and outdoor construction sites. Outdoor sites often exposed to weather conditions
· Hazardous conditions
Physical Abilities:
· Hearing and speaking to effectively exchange information
· Sit, stand, and walk for extended time periods
· Lift moderate to heavy objects (50lbs)
· Ability to remain on feet all day
· Ability to work at heights on scissor lifts
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $35.00 per hour
