As the Activities Coordinator at Lynn Shore Rest Home NP Inc., you will are responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising daily therapeutic, social, and physical activities tailored to residents' needs, promoting cognitive function and mental well-being. You will also create a stimulating, safe atmosphere for the residents, ensuring a high quality of life. Key Responsibilities:Program Planning & Implementation: Develop a diverse calendar of events (arts & crafts, exercise, games, entertainment) based on residents' interests and abilities.Resident Engagement: Promote maximum participation in activities, ensuring all residents, including those with memory care needs, are included.Individualized Care: Create and update activity plans for residents, documenting participation and progress.Coordination & Logistics: Organize outings, special events, and manage inventory of recreational supplies.Volunteer & Staff Management: Coordinate volunteer support and assist in training other staff members on engagement techniques. Requirements & Qualifications:Experience: Previous experience working with the elderly, disabled individuals, or in a long-term care setting.Skills: Strong communication, creativity, patience, and empathy.Certification: Not mandatory but helpful. Key Competencies:Physical/Mental Health Focus: Ability to organize activities that improve motor skills and provide cognitive stimulation (e.g., tai chi, music, puzzles).Safety Consciousness: Ensuring all activities, especially outings, are safe.
