What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Administrator/Representative position at Lynn Rodens?
The Construction Administration Representative will focus on providing field and administrative support for the construction administration team for civil site projects that include single family and multi-family residential development, commercial development, and institutional projects.
- Education: Associate Degree or 2-4 years experience and/or combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 2-6 years’ experience
- Attend Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) pre-construction meetings and site visits with senior CA employees
- Prepare SWPPP notebooks
- Perform weekly SWPPP inspections including preparation of reports
- Understand SWPPP plans and answer field related questions
- Assist construction administration team in problem solving and troubleshooting issues arising in the field
- Oversee installation, testing and inspections of site infrastructure systems and prepare field and testing reports
- Review sewer and drainage videos and report findings to CA team
- SW file management and project organization
- Coordinate directly with Clients and Contractors on project requirements, expectations, deliverables, agency regulations, scheduling and project deadlines
- Coordinate with Owner and Contractor installation schedule of dry utilities
- Assist Project Managers in the review of site work bids from Contractors related to civil design projects
- Attend Project Coordination meetings with Clients, team members, government agencies, and Contractors
- Fully process Contractor’s applications
- Certified Erosion Professional and Sediment Control (CEPSC) certification
- Basic AutoCAD drafting skills to the extent of making simple civil details
- Basic knowledge and understanding of civil engineering design plans
- Ability to understand SWPPP plans and answer field related questions
- Ability to complete project related tasks in a timely manner
- Understanding of project and construction scheduling, project budgets and project deliverables
- Basic knowledge and understanding of project proposals (scope of work, permitting process, project budget, and project schedule)
- Coordinate directly with Clients and Contractors on project requirements, expectations, deliverables, agency regulations, scheduling and project deadlines
- Ability to coordinate with outside consultants involved in the project (Surveyors, Traffic Consultants, Architects, Geotechnical Engineers, MEP Engineers, Wetland Consultants, Arborist, etc.)
- Knowledge of necessary permitting processes for projects across multiple different jurisdictions
- Ability to develop skills related to client contact and effective business development
- Understanding of project technical specifications
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
