Horse Groom

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Horse Groom to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily care, grooming, and maintenance of our horses, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of animal husbandry, equine care, and farm maintenance. The Horse Groom will work closely with other farm staff to uphold high standards of animal care and facility upkeep in a dynamic agricultural environment.

Duties

• Groom horses daily, including brushing, bathing, hoof cleaning, and mane/tail care to maintain cleanliness and health
• Assist with feeding schedules and ensure proper nutrition for all horses
• Monitor horses for signs of illness or injury and report any concerns to the veterinarian or supervisor
• Maintain stables, paddocks, and surrounding areas to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Clean stalls daily

Qualifications

• Prior experience in equine care is highly preferred
• Supervising experience in farm or stable settings is a plus
• Ability to handle animals safely with proper animal handling techniques
• Strong physical stamina including lifting hay and feed bags
• Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
