Client Relations Specialist (CRS)

Lynn Engineering is looking for its next Client Relations Specialist (CRS). We’re an Engineering company specializing in civil, land development, and structural engineering plans and inspections. On the Texas coast we provide windstorm engineering and inspections, which is where our Client Relations Specialists are the face of what we do. As a CRS, you'll assist clients and facilitate their projects through the phases of design, construction and inspection, and certification.

As a CRS, answering phone calls and emails will be the main duty of your position. You’ll need to be able to communicate well in words, in numbers, in emails, over the phone, in person, with clients, with employees, in a box with fox, in a house with a mouse… I think you get the picture. We provide in-depth training on windstorm engineering inspections and processes, so you’ll be confident in what you’re communicating.

Attention to detail is essential in this role. If you struggle with organization or frequently miss important details, this may not be the best fit, as accuracy in documentation and communication directly impacts our clients and project process. You will be responsible for inputting job information and notes daily where details are crucial to our Engineers and Processing team. In the engineering field, misinformation or inaccurate documentation can create significant issues and potential liability concerns, so we triple check information and documentation to ensure accuracy.

Organization is the name of the game here. We’ll count on you to be organized and efficient in filing paperwork, setting up windstorm inspection routes and following up on job statuses. You’ll need to be able to balance calls, emails, job input, job tracking, scheduling, and walk-in clients.

You’ve got to be able to roll with the punches — priorities, scheduling, and operational needs can change quickly throughout the day, so flexibility and adaptability are important in this role. You need to be flexible, positive, and adaptable with changes in processes, clients, scheduling, and most everything else.

There’s no I in LynnGroup, you’ll need to work with a team of Engineers, Drafters, Inspectors and other Client Relations Specialists. We treat each other respectfully but most important- know we all need to work cohesively together to get the job done right.

This is an office-based role and will require standing and/or sitting for long periods. The position occasionally requires stooping, kneeling, and crouching to file. This full-time position will primarily be based in our Rockport, TX office location with occasional travel to Corpus Christi and surrounding service areas as needed. Office hours are 8am–5pm Monday–Thursday and 8am–12pm Friday.

Education / Qualifications

• 1-2 years in customer service role
• Ability to write and read Business English
• Proficient in typing, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong professional work ethic and attention to detail
• Commitment to quality
• Positive attitude and great communication skills
