What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Administrator (IT) position at Lynk?
InCommon is hiring on behalf of a US-based company.
About the Role
We’re looking for a sharp, hands-on Systems Administrator who can keep our systems humming and our team productive. You’ll handle everything from laptop setup to network stability, user management to VPN access — and jump in wherever needed when things break. This role goes beyond basic IT support; you’ll play a key part in maintaining core infrastructure and helping scale internal operations smoothly.
What You'll Own
- End-to-end laptop provisioning (Mac Windows) and peripheral setup
- User onboarding/offboarding: Active Directory, Office 365, SSO, device access
- Troubleshooting across hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Day-to-day network management: wired/wireless, DHCP, DNS, access points
- VPN setup and maintenance (AWS VPN preferred)
- Basic server admin tasks – including Windows Server, Group Policy, ESET
- Handling one-off fixes: WiFi dead zones, glitchy TVs, printer issues, etc.
- Maintaining IT asset inventory and documentation
- Procuring hardware/software and managing vendor relationships
- Light-touch internal training to help users navigate systems confidently
You’ll Fit Right In If You Have
- 2–4 years of experience in IT systems, support, or network admin roles
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and standard networking protocols
- Comfort working across both macOS and Windows environments
- Hands-on experience with user and device management in AD Office 365
- Familiarity with VPN tools (bonus if AWS VPN) and remote access setups
- Basic scripting or automation exposure is a plus (but not mandatory)
- Strong communication skills — you know how to explain things simply
- A bias for action: you notice something broken, and you fix it — fast
