Our client is currently seeking or in need of a skilled Saw Operator for a full-time opportunity in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone with experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment where accuracy, safety, and consistency matter every day. The position involves operating industrial saw equipment to cut plastic materials according to precise specifications while supporting production goals and quality standards. The Day-to-Day:
- Load plastic sheets and panels onto saw equipment, using lifting devices or material handling equipment when needed
- Set up saw blades, adjust feed speeds, and calibrate machinery for accurate and efficient cutting
- Operate computer-controlled beam saws to cut, rip, and trim plastic materials based on technical drawings and optimized cutting lists
- Review raw materials before production to identify any visible defects or inconsistencies
- Measure and inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet dimensional requirements and quality expectations
- Perform routine cleaning of machinery and work areas to maintain an organized and safe environment
- Change blades and assist with basic troubleshooting to keep equipment running properly
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols to reduce risk and properly manage plastic dust
- Record material usage, completed production quantities, and other required operational data
- Support workflow efficiency by maintaining accuracy, minimizing waste, and helping production stay on schedule
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Previous experience operating beam saws, CNC machinery, or similar industrial equipment required
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or CAD-related files
- Strong math skills with the ability to calculate measurements accurately
- Solid attention to detail and precision when working with tight tolerances
- Experience working in a warehouse environment where safety is a daily priority
- Basic computer knowledge and comfort in entering or reviewing production-related information
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and handle large, heavy plastic panels safely
- Fitness level appropriate for the physical demands of the role
- Dependable work ethic and ability to follow established procedures consistently
Pay Rate:
- $24.00 to $27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
