About the Role

Global SaaS company is seeking a dynamic Director of FP&A to lead our financial planning and analysis function, driving strategic decision-making and operational excellence across our global SaaS business. This role is ideal for a finance leader who combines strategic insight with analytical precision, thrives in a high-growth environment, and excels at translating complex data into compelling financial narratives that shape the company’s direction.

Position will be a key partner to the CFO and executive leadership team, responsible for guiding forecasting, budgeting, performance analysis, and long-range planning. You will build scalable frameworks for financial insight, align cross-functional initiatives with business objectives, and ensure our financial story is clear, data-driven, and strategically actionable.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the FP&A function, overseeing the development of forecasts, budgets, and multi-year strategic plans that align with AvePoint’s growth objectives.
• Partner with the CFO and executive team to drive data-informed decision-making, influencing strategy across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
• Own executive and Board-level reporting, delivering insights that shape business strategy and investor communications.
• Translate financial performance into business strategy, turning complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive accountability and results.
• Optimize operational efficiency, streamlining financial processes, tools, and reporting frameworks to enhance accuracy, agility, and scalability.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering analytical excellence and a culture of strategic partnership.
• Oversee company-wide financial modeling and scenario planning, evaluating the financial impact of strategic initiatives, pricing, and investment decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders to understand key drivers, assess risks and opportunities, and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity in all reporting, earnings materials, and external disclosures in partnership with Accounting and Investor Relations.

What You Bring

• 10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance, with leadership experience in a SaaS or technology company.
• Proven ability to lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills with a strong command of financial modeling and business storytelling.
• Deep understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV, retention, gross margin) and their application in performance management.
• Demonstrated success influencing executive teams and driving business outcomes through data-driven insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial planning tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
