Lyndon Town School is looking to hire a dynamic teacher dedicated to fostering a life-long love of healthy habits and personal fitness as a member of our Physical Education team. The three person Physical Education team at Lyndon provides Health, Physical Education, and Personal Wellness Instruction to students across grades PreK-8. Candidates must be energetic, self-motivated, effective educators interested in joining a high energy PE Team at a dedicated PLC school. The position involves sharing the responsibilities of providing instruction in personal fitness in grades 5-8, health and Physical Education instruction to grades PreK-8. Individuals must work collaboratively with other integrated arts and classroom teachers. Ability to establish a supportive classroom environment through positive behavior interventions practices, skill with formative assessments, and dedication to “Whole Child” education required. We seek positive team players who are creative, passionate teachers with a sense of humor and genuine love for working with elementary and middle level young people. Lyndon Town School serves approximately 390 children in PreK- grade 8. The pay range for this position is $46,267-$89,467.
Lyndon Town School is part of the Kingdom East School District, located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.
