Lyndon Town School is seeking a dynamic Kindergarten Teacher to join our dedicated team of highly engaged professionals, with opportunities for multi-grade sharing and learning. Candidates must be enthusiastic and inquisitive, committed to collaborative teaming, and interested in joining a developing professional learning community.
Experience with early literacy, UFLI, workshop model, POA/PNOA, Bridges Mathematics, play based learning, positive behavior interventions, and Responsive Classroom are a priority. Interest in project based and outdoor learning is preferred. We seek creative, passionate teachers who love children, and with their team, will provide a strong foundation to our early elementary students. A sense of humor and genuine love for working with young people is a necessity. The individual will be part of a team including other grade level teachers, special educators and interventionists. The district provides mentorship and a supportive administration.
Lyndon Town School is part of the Kingdom East School District, located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven pre-k to 8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.
