Lyndon Institute is seeking a caring, dependable, and medically qualified individual to provide health support for a student attending athletic events throughout the school year.This position plays an important role in ensuring the student's health and safety while participating in school-sponsored athletic activities away from campus.Primary Responsibilities: - Accompany a student to athletic events as assigned.- Perform periodic blood glucose monitoring throughout events and travel.- Administer rescue medications when necessary and in accordance with physician orders.- Follow the student's individualized Diabetic Health Plan and Emergency/Rescue Plan.- Monitor the student's condition and respond appropriately to changes in blood glucose levels.- Communicate with school personnel, coaches, and parents/guardians as needed regarding the student's health status.- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided during assigned events.Qualifications: - Current licensure or certification appropriate to administer medications and provide diabetic care (such as LNA, RN, LPN, EMT, or other qualified healthcare professional, as applicable) is preferred- Experience caring for individuals with diabetes is preferred.- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations.- Strong communication and organizational skills.- Must successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment requirements.- This is a part-time, as-needed position with hours based on the student's athletic schedule, including evenings and weekends.Interested candidates should submit an application and resume to Lyndon Institute Human Resources.
